Description
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das Schiffsdenkmal am Berg Musa Dagh, welches an die Rettung von 4000 Armeniern vor der Türkischen Verfolgung im Sommer 1915 durch französische Kriegsschiffe erinnert. Das Bild wurde von Andre Thess am 12. September 2015, dem 100. Jahrestag der Rettung der Armenier aufgenommen.
English: The picture shows a Monument near the top of the Musa Dagh mountain depicting a ship that saved the lifes of 4000 Armenian People in 1915 as described in Franz Werfel's book "The Forty Days of Musa Dagh". The picture was taken by Andre Thess on 12 September 2015, the 100th anniversary of the rescue of the Armenians.
