Summary
[edit]DescriptionMystery artefact - geograph.org.uk - 238570.jpg |
English: Mystery artefact. This is adjoining Brockham lime kilns and hearthstone mine. It is hemispherical and consists of riveted wrought iron plates. We were told it had two opposed holes in rim in the ground. It has almost certainly been used as a kibble (bucket) in a mine shaft but there is a strong possibility that it was part of an egg-ended boiler first. I would welcome further comments. |
