Description

Feb. 16, 2012

NASA Astronaut Michael Fossum shares his extraordinary spaceflight experiences with the Goddard community on Feb. 16, 2012.

Fossum, flight engineer on Expedition 28 and Commander of Expedition 29, traveled to the International Space Station (ISS) on June 7, 2011 aboard the Soyuz TMA-02M spacecraft from Kazakhstan. After completing Expeditions 28 and 29, Fossum’s spaceflight experience totals over 192 days in space, 3,092 completed orbits, and 77,565,038 miles traveled. Previously, Fossum was a mission specialist for two space shuttle missions: STS-121 and STS-124.
