Description
Deutsch: Das Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) in dem NASA-Satellit "Terra" beobachtete am 6. Juni 2013 die Überschwemmungen in Mittel- und Ostdeutschland. Diese Falschfarbenaufnahme verwendet eine Kombination aus sichtbarem und infrarotem Licht, um Land und Wasserflächen besser unterscheidbar zu machen. Flusswasser ist dunkelblau bis schwarz dargestellt, die Vegetation erscheint hellgrün. Wolken sind hell blaugrau und werfen Schatten.
English: The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA’s Terra satellite observed flooding in central and eastern Germany on June 6, 2013. This false-color image uses a combination of visible and infrared light to make it easier to distinguish between water and land. River water appears navy blue to black and vegetation is bright green. Clouds are pale blue-green and cast shadows.
