Summary[edit]

Description NH 79656: Gerfaut (French Destroyer, 1930) View looking aft from the foremast, sometime before the Autumn of 1936. It was published in the October 1936 issue of the French naval magazine La Revue Maritime. Note the four single mount 37mm Model 1925 semi-automatic anti-aircraft guns mounted along the ship's side between the smokestacks. Also details of three of her four stacks, life rafts, boat davits and crew members on deck during what appears to be an inspection. The original print came from the Office of Naval Intelligence. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
