| Description |
English: Tropical Cyclone Nanauk is slowly drifting northward in the northern Indian Ocean. The low level circulation has decoupled from the central dense overcast and can be seen to the northeast. The system is in an area of strong northeasterly vertical wind shear and as it drifts poleward should dissipate in 24 hours. This image was taken by the Suomi NPP satellite's VIIRS instrument around 0910Z on June 13, 2014. |
