Description
English: You can win everything between heaven and earth in the H7 lottery (Norwegian: De kan vinne alt mellom himmel og jord i H7-lotteriet), advertisement poster published in 1946 promoting a national lottery for a fund to provide aid and support for victims of the Second World War in German-occupied Norway.
  • The image shows a angel-like female figure draped in a Norwegian flag, holding a cornucopia from which prizes pour out like a shower of gifts, including cars, homes, sailboats, furniture, and other items, in front of a male figure at the bottom. 'H7' is an abbreviation and a monogram for King Haakon VII of Norway.
  • The poster in a glass frame was photographed at Lofoten War Memorial Museum in Svolvær, Norway.
Norsk bokmål: De kan vinne alt mellom himmel og jord i H7-lotteriet, reklameplakat utgitt i 1946 for Nasjonalhjelpen til Frihetskampens Ofre, et fond og en stiftelse opprettet etter andre verdenskrig i Norge for innsamlinger og utdeling av hjelp til skadelidte etter krigen.
  • Bildet viser en svevende, naken, engleliknende kvinneskikkelse drapert i et norsk banner som holder et overflødighetshorn der premier strømmer ut som et gavedryss av biler, boliger, seilbåt, møbler og andre ting foran en mannsfigur nederst. «H7» i reklameteksten under bildet er formet som kong Haakon VIIs monogram i rødt. Tegningen er kanskje signert med «h.t» eller «h o t», under plakatmotivet står «National Reklamefabrikk A/S Lito officin, Oslo».
  • Etter frigjøringa i 1945 satte Nasjonalhjelpen i verk en innsamling til frihetskampens ofre som innbrakte 103,7 millioner kroner, hvorav 32,3 millioner etter hvert ble utbetalt, dels til avhjelp av nød og hjelp til selvhjelp og dels som frihetsgaver.
