Description
English: Model of a quadrupole synchrotron storage ring magnet. This is a model (at NSLS 2) of a design of magnet used at the National Synchrotron Light Source II as part of the storage ring.

The label reads: QUADRUPOLE MAGNET

one of the seven types of storage ring quadrupole magnets. 300 quadrupole magnets are used to focus the electron beam to micron size
