Summary[edit]
DescriptionNeckar-Doppel-Maeander NSG-Neckarburg Umlaufberg-Bergle-mit-Wacholderheide Rottweil Baden-Wuerrtemberg.jpg |
English: Cut Meander north of Rottweil, Baden-Württemberg. The dry loop’s floor is cultivated with grain. The “meander core”, called “Bergle”, and the surrounding area are a protected nature reserve (“Naturschutzgebiet”) of which farming ground is excluded. The meander core is one of the most beautiful “Wacholderheiden” (german wikipedia: Wacholderheide), where a group of species, especially rare, protected flowers, grow. The reserve is regularly grazed by herds of sheep, which are known for their dislike of the “Wacholder” bushes (Juniper bushes). |
