English: Illustration from Herman Hofberg's Nerikes gamla minnen.
Svenska: Inskrift på kyrkklockan i Tångeråsa. “Den vackraste är storklockan i Tångeråsa, så väl för sin storlek som den serdeles rediga inskriften, hvilken efter vanligheten löper rundtomkring öfra kanten och har följande lydelse: Anno Do(mini) MCD XCV stoptes tenu toru maria clocca Coradus Di gra(tia) eps (episcopus) regnes (Stregnesis) p. s., eller på svenska: År 1495 stöptes denna stora Maria klocka. Conradus med Guds nåde Strengnäs biskop. P. s., som afsluta meningen, äro måhända initialerna till klockgjutarens namn.”
