Description
Deutsch: Die „Neue Späthbrücke“ in Berlin-Britz führt die Späthstraße am Kilometer 28,80 der künstlichen Wasserstraße über den Teltowkanal. Die heutige stählerne Stabbogenbrücke mit eingehängter Brückentafel wurde 2002 gebaut. Die Stützweite beträgt rund 57 m. Mit der Inbetriebnahme erhielt die Brücke den Namen „Neue Späthbrücke“, um sie von der 1906 gebauten Späthstraßenbrücke zu unterscheiden. Um die Späthstraße an die neue und parallel zum Kanal geführte A 113 anschließen zu können, musste die Späthstraße zwischen der Haarlemer Straße und dem Königsheideweg um rund 700 Meter nach Norden verlegt werden. Unmittelbar nordöstlich folgend führt die „Anna-Nemitz-Brücke“ über die Bundesautobahn. Die historische Späthstraßenbrücke bleibt ohne Verkehrsanbindung und ohne verkehrliche Nutzung als denkmalgeschütztes Bauwerk erhalten. Die Brücke wurde benannt nach Franz Ludwig Späth.
English: The „Neue Späthbrücke“ in Berlin-Britz is a street bridge of the Späthstraße crossing the Teltowkanal. The steel arch bridge was new built in 2002. Its named after the botanist Franz Späth.
