Summary[edit]
DescriptionNeuralMassSimulation.png |
English: Simulation of a neural mass model showing the output of the Pyramidal cells while the gain parameter is linearly increased. The increase in gain results in the occurrence of network spikes, which become more frequent and change into oscillatory activity at about 3 Hz. This simulations models the onset of seizure activity (Wendling et al, 2000, Biol Cybern 83). Top panel shows the output as a function of time, while the bottom panel shows a time-frequency presentation of power spectral density. |
