Neuvy-Saint-Sépulchre (Indre)

La Collégiale Saint-Etienne.


Mur sud de la nef : Une partie du décor primitif subsiste à l'intrados de la baie de la tribune.

L'intrados de l'arc est délimité par une bordure jaune et rouge dans laquelle des entrelacs forment des médaillons circulaires occupés par des animaux fantastiques (griffon et dragon).

Au bas de l'arc, un personnage estropié, assis et nu, essaie une béquille. Le fond est rouge avec des entrelacs blancs et des animaux jaunes. Le personnage est blanc et rose clair.

La datation reste délicate : de la fin du XIe ou du début du XIIe siècle.
