| Description |
English: New Bridge The bridge is definitely not new. Indeed it was never restored with the rest of the canal, the parapets are missing and to the left the crossing over the railway no longer exists. It is arguably not needed as there is another crossing 200 metres to the north-east, but has the right of way ever been extinguished? Investigation by another contributor, supplemented by a check on Where's the Path, confirms that both bridge and viewpoint are in SU2663. The OS 1:50K map suggests otherwise, probably due to the space it has at that scale to show both canal and railway. |
