Summary[edit]
DescriptionNisqually Glacier (6851680978).jpg |
One of the most frequently studied glaciers in the park, the Nisqually Glacier shows up in many pictures of Mount Rainier, some dating back more than 100 years. From Glacier Vista, on the Skyline Trail, you get a feel for the great size this glacier achieved in the past and how much it has receded over the history of the park. Glacier Vista, when the weather cooperates, can also yield great views of Gibraltar Rock and other point high up on the mountain. NPS Photo. |
