Summary[edit]

Description
English: The cytoplasm of neurons in the anterior horn of the spinal cord contains numerous Nissl bodies, here stained purple with the dye cresyl violet (two Nissl bodies are indicated by the arrows). The neurons are surrounded by myelinated axons that are stained blue with the dye luxol fast blue. The scale bar in the lower right-hand corner is 30 microns (0.03 millimeters) in length.
