On the 2nd July 1971 she received her first light overhaul at Crewe Works and was reallocated to Crewe Diesel depot in May 1973. April 1974, saw the loco entered Crewe Locomotive Works for an Intermediate overhaul and re-enter service carrying her new TOPS number of 50007.
