Description
Deutsch: Die Vermüllung der Meere ist für die Basstölpel die auf der Nordseeinsel Helgoland brüten eine große Gefahr. Reste von Fischernetzen benutzen sie als Nistmaterial für die Nester. Hat sich ein Vogel in den Netzresten verfangenen, stranguliert sich das Tier und geht in einem grausamen Todeskampf, der oft mehrere Tage dauert, qualvoll zugrunde.
