English: IN 1900 GENERAL WILLIAM JACKSON PALMER, FOUNDER OF COLORADO SPRINGS, BOUGHT THE RANCH AND MOVED HIS RELATIVES, THE SCHLATERS FROM SOUTH AFRICA. THEY BUILT THE ORCHARD HOUSE WHICH REFLECTED SOUTH AFRICAN DUTCH ARCHITECTURE; THIS RANCH, ALSO KNOWN AS CHAMBERS RANCH, IS ON THE NATIONAL REGISTRY

THIS IS A CURIOUS SITE. ON THE REGISTRY IT IS LISTED AS CHAMBERS RANCH, WIKIPEDIA HAS AN ARTICLE ENTITLED ROCK LEDGE RANCH HISTORIC SITE BUT THERE ARE NO PICTURES. AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SITE NEAR THE GARDEN OF THE GODS THE SIGN LISTS IT AS WHITE HOUSE RANCH HISTORIC SITE. VERY CONFUSING BUT APPEARS TO BE ALL THE SAME PLACE
