Français : Illustration accompagnant un bref article de l'Illustrated London News du 15 juin 1889 sur L'Affaire de Sagallo, c'est-à-dire la confrontation survenue en février la même année entre un groupe de colons russes dirigé par le cosaque Achinoff et une escadre française à Sagallo dans le golfe de Tadjoura. L'escadre était composée des quatre vaisseaux représentés sur la gravure: le Seignelay, le Primauguet, le Météore et le Pingouin (identifié comme le "Penguin" sur la gravure) et à bord duquel Achinoff était retenu prisonnier au moment du passage du correspondant du journal. La côte d'Obock est présentée de façon très fantaisiste. |
