Deutsch: Der Oder-Havel-Kanal bei Neuholland, Landkreis Oberhavel, Brandenburg. Die Schnelle Havel, links im Bild, fließt hier stellenweise neben dem Kanal. Das Wasserspiegelniveau der Havel ist niedriger. Das Wasser im Kanal steht fast still, wogegen die Havel deutlich sichtbar fließt. Der Oder-Havel-Kanal wurde hier direkt am südlichen Rand des Haveltales gebaut. Wegen des Anstiegs des Geländes wurde deshalb meist nur ein Deich, zur Havel hin, benötigt. Das schmale Haveltal stellt hier die Passage durch die Platte zwischen dem Eberswalder- und dem Berliner Urstromtal dar. |
