| Description |
English: Was working on some rifles today and I thought I'd photograph this venerable AR-15 in a couple of poses.
My first AR-15, I put it together in 2006 or 2007, from a Stag Arms stripped lower and a DPMS A2 rifle upper. It has been fitted with a variety of stocks and grips over the years, but it acquired the Magpul handguard early on (Bella chewed up the original A2 handguard). It has been the favorite rifle for the last two years at our monthly Burro Canyon fun shoots, being shot constantly on most days. It has fired many thousands of rounds without giving us any trouble and - no shit - has been cleaned only once in all those years (a former Marine buddy cleaned it for me about a year ago). Today I decided to strip and clean the BCG, and holy cow was it filthy. Maybe later I'll actually get to the chamber and bore . . . |
