  • One-Act Plays of the Sea. The play ran October 29, 1937 – January 15, 1938, at the Lafayette Theatre.
  • The specific play is The Long Voyage Home, the only one-act play that includes the character of Fat Joe, played by Dooley Wilson (credited as Arthur Wilson). The cast of that play, in the order as listed in The New York Times review of October 30, 1937, is as follows:
    Arthur Wilson (Fat Joe, proprietor of the dive), Thurman Jackson (Nick, the crimp), Jacqueline Martin (Mag, a bar maid), Lionel Monagas (Driscoll), William Cumberbatch (Cocky), John B.
