Description
Nederlands: Het verhaal betreft twee items uit WOI.

Een bajonet 695 mm van januari 1863, model 1842 met grote bloedgleuf. Het wapen wordt nagetrokken in een naslagwerk; het is Duits en betreft Ersatzmateriaal "MRE Imperiale Château" van januari 1863 SB model 1842.

Mogelijk afkomstig uit 1870 van de Frans-Duitse oorlog. Het kan dus Duitse oorlogsbuit zijn. De Duitsers herbruikten de bajonetten en pasten deze aan naar hun eigen geweren. Het wapen is geschikt voor een Mauser geweer 1871. Het werd gebruikt door de Landsturm. De bajonet werd gevonden in Oelegem in een schuur op een balk.

Verder een medaille oorlogskruis 1914-1918 met 1 palmtak voor een soldaat gestreden aan de IJzer. De medaille werd gevonden bij een oude dame die deze medaille verzamelde met tal van andere medailles van WOII.
