Description
Nederlands: Opening van de Graaf van Egmontstraat in Zottegem in 1933. Burgemeester Firmin De Meyer knipt het lint door, Omer Coessens houdt het lint vast; reuzen Cambrinus en Cambrina op de achtergrond. De Graaf van Egmontstraat werd aangelegd op de gedempte gracht van het Egmontkasteel. Het voorste deel van het kasteel was in 1927 gekocht door Jules Bernaegie voor 333 500 frank. Hij liet de omliggende gronden verkavelen.
