Summary[edit]

Description
English: Halsethfjøset (Hallsetfjøset), a log cow house and bridge barn build around 1800, now re-erected at The Oppdal Museum (in Norwegian: Oppdalsmuseet or Oppal bygdemuseum), a local museum in Oppdal Municipality in Trøndelag County, Norway. The image shows the grey weathered cog-jointed timber wall of the building, an old grinding stone, a scythe, a rake, a nest box, etc.

The open-air museum near downtown Oppdal shows around 30 log buildings dating back to 1500 into the mid 1900’s, such as farm dwellings, barns, storage-houses, mills, smithy, hunting cabins, summerhouse, telephone office, ski-workshop and more. Photo taken on a spring day in April 2019.
