Die alte Pöschlkapelle ist ein verfallender Bildstock (ca. 18. Jahrhundert) in Form eines Breitpfeilers (allfällige Details siehe den Dateinamen). Eine künstlerische Ausschmückung ist nicht mehr vorhanden, nur mehr wenige kleine Verputzreste sind erhalten. Das Gebäude steht an den ehemaligen Brücken bzw. Bachübergängen des Wallfahrtsweges von Rettenbach (Pfarre St. Oswald in Freiland) nach Osterwitz über den Rettenbach und die Laßnitz (ehem Pöschlbrücke) im Tal zwischen den Bauernöfen vulgo Pöschl, Fastlbauer und Strellykeusche zwischen den Katastralgemeinden Rettenbach-Kloster und Osterwitz. Das Gebäude liegt abseits der heutigen Straße im Gelände der Mündung von Rettenbach und Laßnitz im nordöstlichen Eck des Grundstückes Nr. 115, Einlagezahl 11, Katastralgemeinde 61046 Osterwitz. Die Grenze folgt nicht dem 2023 aktuellen Lauf des Rettenbaches, sondern dem älteren Bachbett, das nur ein kleines Gerinne bildet. |
