Summary[edit]

Description
English: The hybrid diamond follower augments the basic diamond follower T1-T4 with two emitter followers T5-T6. These engage when T1, T3 are unable to swing the bases of T2, T4 - enabling higher output currents and much higher slew rate for high-level signals. Unfortunately, the transition between two modes causes much distortion. For more discussion see the article by Giovanni Stochino in Electronics World October 1995.
