Summary[edit]

Description

"Pushing Up The Daisies" is an expression that I have heard a number of times but I have never thought much about it until I saw a number of old graves in St. John's Church [disused] in Limerick. There were three graves that were totally covered by attractive large daisies.

The phrase is sometimes used to describe someone who is dead. You will be in the ground dead so therefore daisies will grow on you, and you will be "pushing up the daisies".
