Part of the Te Araroa walkway, the Paekakariki Escarpment track is an amazing trail that runs along the steep hillside of the lower Kapiti Coast, North of Wellington. Luckily, my family and I managed to walk it a couple of weeks ago, just before a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the region this week closing the track after it only just opened earlier this year.
