Description
Nederlands: Standbeeld Pallieter. Pallieter is het hoofdpersonage uit de gelijknamige roman van Felix Timmermans. Zijn naam is synoniem geworden met een echte levensgenieter. Ondertussen zijn ook de woorden “pallieter” en “pallieteren” opgenomen in de Nederlandse taal. Dit beeld is van de hand van Jan Alfons Keustermans. Het werd in 1986 ingehuldigd naar aanleiding van het Timmermansjaar.
English: Pallieter is the main character in the novel of the same name by Felix TimmermansThe words “pallieter” and “palfieteren”, invented by Timmermans, have now. become part of the Dutch language for “enjoying life”. This statue ie made by Jan Alfons Keustermans. It was installed in 1986 as a remembrance for Timmermans.
