Description
English: A passenger ticket issued to Chas. Boyd, his wife and child for passage on board the clipper ship BALTIMORE sailing in January 1853. The Boyd's were traveling to Melbourne from New York in a second class cabin state room. This ticket was issued in New York, in the United States on 8 January 1853, at a cost of two hundred and forty dollars.

The fine clipper ship Baltimore 700 tons, F.B. Northup, Commander. Melbourne-Callao shuttle. Having been constructed for a Baltimore liner, with a spacious saloon and lofty 'tween decks' her accommodations for cabin and intermediate passengers are of a superior description. The Argus, Melbourne, Vic.: 1853 [3]
