The loss of the SS City of Montreal, Captain F. S. Land and Passengers leaving the ship. The City of Montreal, was an ocean liner of the Inman Line, bound from New York to Montreal, which caught fire in mid North Atlantic on 10 August 1887.
Inset portrait of Captain, F.S. Land, who had previously commanded a trans-Atlantic liner, the City of Brussels.
