English: Detail of a pastel portrait of Henrietta ("Hadie") Emma Helena de Salis (2 May 1824 in Bath, Somerset – 16 August 1863), the fourth and youngest (but third surviving) daughter of Jerome, 4th Count de Salis-Soglio by his third wife Henrietta, daughter of Lord Bishop (William) Foster. Hadie was Colonel Thomas-Chaloner Bisse-Challoner's second wife, and they married on 6 January 1859. |
