English: Path leading onto Turton Moor from Charter's Moss plantation The depression in the ground to the left of the image is filled with water. It is clearly visible on maps and aerial photographs. This is possibly the result of nineteenth-century speculative mining, and is probably associated with the Turton Moor Sanitary Pipe works which once stood adjacent to this location. |
