| Description |
Español: Pazo construído en 1850 siguiendo la estética de los pazos rurales. Es un edificio de dos alturas, levantado íntegramente en perpiaño granítico, que aparece dominado por una torre lateral almenada que destaca en altura de entre el conjunto de la edificación, al tiempo que añade un nuevo piso al inmueble. El cuerpo bajo presenta un corredor asoportado bajo arcos de medio punto, que da lugar a una hermosa balconada superior, con balaustrada de piedra, y vistas sobre la ría. El inmueble es una síntesis de referentes barrocos y medievales. Destaca el diseño del extraordinario balcón circular que se abre en el chaflán de la torre.
La protección patrimonial de Casa Durán abarca toda la parcela incluidos los magníficos los jardines del inmueble, de casi 4.000 metros cuadrados. Un aspecto que aporta gran singularidad al Pazo Montecelo es que se encuentra en pleno casco urbano de la ciudad, a escasos metros de la avenida García Barbón, y con incomparables vistas la Ría de Vigo y las Cies.
