English: Pearson's Fold. Lovely old fold on the remote flanks of Caw Fell. Cawfell Beck in view.It is named on the O.S. Map but only noted as 'fold' by Wainwright. A substantial fold whose walls are in quite good condition, almost heart shaped from this angel. A tribute to 'Pearson' and his ilk who designed and built these folds in days gone by. |
