Dansk: Sophia Hauch, f. Stürup
  • Dansk: Maleriet blev tidligere betragtet som et portræt af Sophia Hauch, født Stürup (1731-1760), men eftersom hun døde i 1760, og maleriet sandsynligvis først er udført 1761 eller senere, forestiller det snarere hans anden hustru Anna Cathrine hauch, født von der Maase (1722-1786), som Andreas Hauch giftede sig med i 1761. I Danmaks Adels Aarbog 1944 er portrætterne gengivet, og det er anført, at kvinden formentlig er Sohia Hauch. Den tidligere identifikation var baseret på en familietradition.
