| Description |
English: Penuel Baptist Chapel, Ffordd Glandwr This is the Christmas Evans Memorial Chapel. Evans, a one-eyed ex-farm labourer (he had lost the other in a brawl)and Baptist exhorter moved to Llangefni from South West Wales in 1791 to take charge of the Baptist cause on Anglesey and to be minister of the town's Cildwrn Chapel. His preaching tours of the island drew huge crowds largely because of his vivid imagery and great acting abilities. Cildwrn Chapel is now used by an Evangelical church and Penuel is the only surviving Baptist chapel in Llangefni.
