עברית: באתר הלאומי הקסטל ,Original Image Name: באתר הלאומי הקסטל ,Notes: קרב הקסטל, במלחמת העצמאות, נערך בתאריכים 3-9 באפריל 1948 - באפריל 1948 במסגרת מבצע נחשון, בין כוחות ההגנה לבין כוחות ערבים לא סדירים. לאחר אבדות כבדות לשני הצדדים, הסתיימו הקרבות בנסיגת הערבים מהאזור ובפתיחה זמנית של הדרך לירושלים. האתר הוא אתר לאומי בניהול רשות הטבע והגנים ובשטחו יד זיכרון לחללי הקרב על הקסטל ואלה שהשתתפו בו ונפלו בקרבות אחרים, וגם אנדרטה למשוריינים שניסו לפרוץ את הדרך לירושלים. במקום הוצבו מתקנים המיועדים לפעילות אקטיבית ומאתגרת של קהל כולל הצגת סרטונים.
