Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_80073_20210526_125717jpg Notes: החאן לא החל את דרכו כאכסניית דרכים אלא כבית חווה חקלאית שהוקם בשליש האחרון של המאה ה19 אורכו עמד על 615 מטרים רוחבו הגיע לכ40 מטרים עוצב בצורת חצר פנימית שסביבה היו ערוכים 26 חדרים המבנה נבנה מאבני כורכר שנלקחו מעתיקות קיסריה במרכזו של כל חדר הוקמה קשת אשר תמכה בגג וזה נבנה בתורו מקורות עץ ארז שנשאו כיסוי צמחי וחיפוי עם רכישת אדמות חדרה ב1891 נרכש מבנה החאן ובין 18911896 שימש את ראשוני תושבי המושבה כמקום מגורים ולמטרות ציבוריות בין 19251948 שכנה במבנה תחנה של משטרת המנדט
