Description

Le peuple nomade des Pinsons du Nord se mue certains hivers en monstre tentaculaire obscurcissant le ciel de millions de sujets, s’abattant sur le sol des hêtraies pour engloutir les faines. Comme ravagé par un feu de brousse, le tapis de feuilles mortes paraît s’embraser sous l’assaut éclair des nuées orange qui s’évanouissent aussi vite qu’elles sont apparues. Les vols tournoyants tels des bancs de poissons au-dessus des dortoirs constituent un des spectacles les plus fascinants qui soient. De telles concentrations ne sont connues chez aucun autre oiseau en Suisse, un seul dortoir pouvant rassembler une partie importante de la population européenne. voir :
