Description
Lietuvių: 1936 m. birželio 18-28 d. ASK (Akademinio sporto klubo) iniciatyva kartu su KJK (Kauno jachtklubu) buvo surengtos pirmosios Lietuvoje baidarių lenktynės ežerais ir upėmis. Dalyvavo 15 baidarių įgulų. Baidarininkai lenktyniavo 500 km atstume, suskirstytame į 10 etapų, iš Dūrių ežero (Molėtų raj.) pro Linkmenis, Rūgšteliškes, Dusetas, Užpalius, Ukmergę, Jonavą, į Kauną. Nuotraukoje - Nerimi į Kauno Santaką, kur buvo lenktynių finišas, atplaukusi lenktynių nugalėtojų dvivietė KJK baidarė, kurią irkluoja Vladimiras Muchinas (pirmasis) ir Petras Jankevičius-Jankus. Kitoje Neries pusėje matosi Vilijampolė. Nuotrauka (retušuota foto kopija) - iš Vladimiro (Vlado) Muchino asmeninio archyvo.
English: Winners of the First Lithuanian 500 km kayaks race through lakes and rivers (starting on 18th of June 1936 in the lake Dūriai, Molėtai region) finishing on river Neris in Kaunas on 28th of June 1936. Winning KJK (Kaunas Yacht Club) kayak team: Vladas Muchinas (the first from the left) and Petras Jankevičius-Jankus.
