Slovenščina: Obžaloval je le, da v zabojčku ni našel nobenega polhograjčana, niti zelenega roženca, niti idrijskega ognjenega skrilavca, ker jih je večkrat obljubil (Njegovi visokosti?). Zato je nagovoril mene, ali mu morda ne bi mogel pomagati, da izpolni dano besedo.

Breislakova opažanja bodo objavljena v našem časopisu za literaturo. Mogoče bom imel celo takšno srečo, da bom pridobil recenzijo od samega Wernerja ali vsaj iz njegovega kroga. V ta namen bom pisal Wernerju sam! Če bi mu Breislak ali Vaša milost lahko priskrbela kaj albanskega, bi to prav gotovo naredil!

Hoffmannovega ni izšlo nič drugega kot dva zvezka, ki pa ju Vaša milost že ima. Brž ko bo kaj izšlo, tudi od Steffensa, ne bom zapravil niti trenutka!

Ilirski kompilator je neki wroclawski profesor Woltersdorf. Zupana, Rudeža in Zagrebčane sem pozval, naj napišejo kritične recenzije, sed pigri sunt omnes.

Schnurrer je najbolj stiskaški pastor. Kljub temu bom vseh 14 kosov verjetno vendarle dobil za 14 florintov, nase pa moram prevzeti tveganje prevoza.
Deutsch: Nur war ihm leid im Kistl keine Billichgratzer, noch grüne Hornsteine, noch Idrianer Brandschiefer, als die er hie und wieder versprochen (dem E. H.?) habe, zu finden. Er ging deswegen mich an, ob ich ihm nicht zur lösung seines Worts verhelfen könnte?

Breislak’s Bemerkung kommt in unsere Literaturz. Vielleicht bin ich gar so glücklich eine Rec. von Werner selbst, oder doch seinen Umgebungen zu erwirken. Ich schreibe dieswegen selbst an Werner’n! Wenn ihn Breislak oder E. G. was Albanesisches verschaffen könnten, so thäte er’s ganz gewiß!

Von Hofmann ist nichts weiter heraus als die 2 Bde die E. G. ja beide haben. Sobald was kommt, auch von Steffens, säume ich keinen Augenblick!

Der Kompilator Illyr. ist ein Breslauer Professor, Woltersdorf. Ich habe Supan, Rudesh, die Agramer zu berichtigenden Rec. aufgefordert, sed pigri sunt omnes.

Schnurrer ist der knauserigste Pastor. Aber ich werde das ganze = 14 St. doch vermuthlich um 14 # kriegen, nur muß ich das Risico des Transports tragen.
