| Description |
English: Plaques on old Bridge Bearings Plaques giving information about the history and construction of the viaduct mounted on original bearings from the Bilston Viaduct over the Bilston Glen near Loanhead. This viaduct once carried the Glencorse branch of the Edinburgh, Loanhead & Roslin Railway, which took coal and limestone from the mines in Midlothian. The bearings were replaced when the viaduct was renovated in 1999 to carry the Roslin-Loanhead walk/cycleway. |
