Summary[edit]

Description The beehive shape tomb diascovered in 1888 it is situated near the entrance of the coastal town of Pomorie, it dates back to the 2nd to 4th centuries AD, it is probable that was a mausoleum tomb.It is the biggest ancient burial place discovered in Bulgaria.The unique monument has a circular chamber of 11.6 m in diameter and 5.5 m in height. Its hallway is 22 m long and 2.4 m high. The central chamber was decorated with paintings.Five niches were used for the placement of urns.
