Description
English: Portrait of Ito Mancio (around 16 years old). He was a Japanese nobleman, Christian samurai, a leader of Tenshō embassy and the first official Japanese emissary to Europe (1583-1590). Domenico Tintoretto brush. When the delegation visited Venice in 1585, the Senate asked Jacopo Tintoretto to make it. It is believed that it was later finished by Jacopo's son Domenico. Details: Oil on canvas. Made in Italy, 1585. 54.0x43.0 cm , Fondazione Trivulzio - Milano.
日本語: 伊東マンショ(16歳頃)の肖像画。ドメニコ・ティントレット筆。1585年に使節団がヴェネツィアを訪れた際、元老院がヤコポ・ティントレットに製作を依頼。その後ヤコポの息子ドメニコが仕上げたものと見られている。
