Summary[edit]
DescriptionPossibly Mycena pura or something else entirely... (6103473253).jpg |
There is a reason why you don't just pick 'em and eat 'em! To properly identify a fungus there is a shit load of tedious things one has to do: spore prints, gill checks, some lactate some are toothed - either at the edges or underneath, etc., etc.. And it's rare to get a field guide that will actually declare a fungus as edible, it's just to easy to screw-up. Long story boring: -if it is this fungus it would be widespread and common. The caps woud be 2 to 4cm across and could be convex to flat or broadly knobbed, (hee-hee-heee). They might be moist or dry but will be smooth and range from pink to violet or purplish-brown. They could grow to a height of 8cm tall and would be coloured as the cap or paler. Finally, they would be fruiting in small groups on the ground in the woods. |
