In the ancient time the couple went their in Pathivara temple. they don't have son. they were willing to have baby boy.
In Nepal if a couple don't have son then its regarded as a curse. and they pray goddess to have baby boy. and said to god if we will have kids then we will sacrifice our kids to you. 

After a years they gave birth to son and when the boy was six years they took him to pathivara temple. They visited the temple and while returning back from their, their son was suddenly expired.

i have heard lots more facts about pathivara devi. Here the parents told to pathivara devi that they will sacrifice their kid to god instead of saying that they will bring their child for the goddess blessing. this incident clarify that the goddess pathivara devi is very powerful& charismatic.
