Description
English:
Löbl-Oblatt Building Architect: S. Sándor Löffler Built in 1927 and 1928. Contractor: Vogel and Veidlinger Co. Investor, customer: Mrs. Rezső Oblatt (born as: Laura Weisz) and publisher, printing owner, textile factory owner Ödön Löbl. Five storey building with corner avant corps. On the entrance gate of the five-storey, closed courtyard building with hanging corridors you can see wrought iron ornaments: bird and flower motifs, tendrils. The samples are most likely to be the work of József Migray, who made the gate entrances, elevator doors, balcony and corridor railings of several apartment buildings. The decorations are characterized by Hungarian-folk motifs, so in several places we meet flower initiatives and stylized bird forms. A glazed fanlight imitating pigeon huts was created above the gate. A office, and cellar shops with overground entrances was planned at the corner in the 2010s and 2020s a supermarket can be found here. From the entrance hall, a marble-clad staircase leads to the level of the courtyard. Theere is a three-armed main staircase with elevator. At back is a service/staff staircase and freight lift too. The house had apartments with 2-3-4 rooms, each with a bath, kitchen and maid's room, except for the room-kitchen caretaker's apartment on the ground floor. On the mansard level there was an attic space, an ironing room and a mangle or wringer room, a freight elevator, the apartment of the vice-house master/vice caretaker, two laundry rooms, a maid's bath, a clothes drying room. The basement of the house once had a knitting workshop operated with two knitting machines, Sewing machines, office room, fluffing? machines, locksmith machines.
